At Sammons Safety Services we offer the benefit of having Safety Training Specialists come out to your jobsite or shop to assist your safety efforts, so your company knows what is going on at your site. That is more favorable than to have OSHA visit and issue a citation and penalty.
The best safety program requires a jobsite inspection schedule. A favorable jobsite inspection may consist of randomly documented inspections of each jobsite at least one per month or more if necessary.
The inspection includes a detailed report with photos, possible citation, and reccommendations to fix them. Then the results will be discussed and if needed, a follow-up jobsite inspection would be scheduled to confirm correction of needed safety disciplines.
Immediate actions can include:
Evaluation of potential hazards, and the necessary safety correcting
Immediate notification of all people exposed to the hazard
Making contacting with the competent person or safety coordinator to immediately resolve or to determine that a hazard does not exist.
